Been A Long Time…Not To Quote Led Zepplin

It’s been quite some time since I posted last…hell I would even say a year plus…I could check, but I won’t.

A lot has happened in this year plus so I won’t bore you with that…you lived it.

I want to talk baseball today, seeing it is Opening Day around the Majors.  I know a lot of you reading this may not give a damn about sports or even baseball…so I guess this is where you stop reading.  But for those of you who either want to know…or care to know, I will continue.

For those of you who may or may not know me…I am a huge baseball fan.  Grown up a Red Sox fan, learned to hate the Yankees and the like.  But, I love the game, so I can really root for any team.

I think this year is going to be huge for baseball, they have inter league play all year which will be interesting especially come September when teams are in the playoff hunt.  For those of you who have no idea what I mean by that, it’s something MLB has done for the last ten plus years where they take a few weeks, usually in late May and June and American League and National League teams play one another.  Before this, the only time the two leagues faced off was in the World Series.  Each league plays very different styles of baseball, one league (AL) uses the DH option instead of letting pitchers bat and the other league (NL) allows pitchers to bat, it’s sort of complicated if you don’t follow the game.  So that will def be interesting to watch unfold and see how it goes.
